Hoorah, I've manage to create an events page on my website, go me! And if that weren't enough to celebrate, which it totally is, I've managed to add some events to it as well. I am truly winning at life. Even though it's Saturday, and wellbeing means no working at weekends, but heck, this is for love, not work, so shut up.
So this is the plan: The twitter world use the #SBLconnect hashtag and @SBLconnect account to tell us about events, network group meetings, get-togethers and conferences that are of interest to the School Business Community. The @SBLconnect account retweets them and acts as a central place to get connected. I will then post the details of any relevant events on my website on the https://www.sbl365.co.uk/events page. The events on the page will have a link to take you to the event's homepage, or to the relevant tweet ,if it's a personal event.
You may even be able to subscribe to the site to get updates, but I've no idea how to do that yet, leave it with me. In the meantime, I'll post links to events as I find them, on @SBLconnect. I'll only list the ones that I think are relevant, so don't @ me with your marketing promo events, suppliers. Or your village fetes, amateur theatricals or dog shows. Gin fests may potentially be of interest though.
I'd really love to hear about regional and local SBM network meetings, so if you have a list of dates for your local groups, ping the details over by DM on twitter, or email SBLconnect@sbl365.co.uk. (I also managed to set up a new email address on my Gsuite console thingummy earlier, and make it an alias to my main account, so I am truly hitting my career techno highlights tonight).
Depending how this takes off, I may need to recruit some volunteers to manage the account and webpage, so if you're interested, let me know. I have no idea how to set up additional users, but it can't be that hard, can it?
Anyway, it's Saturday night, so I'm off. Have a fabulous weekend my friends, and let's keep connecting.
